More time for the counter. Less work behind it.
Latchbeam is a managed operations service for independent pharmacies. We handle the administrative follow-ups, drafts, and correspondence that quietly consume your team's week — and your staff reviews everything before it goes anywhere.

The six workflows we take off your plate
Each one comes with real deliverables your team reviews and sends — here's what they actually look like. Every example uses placeholders; patient details are added by your staff, inside your systems.
Refill intake follow-ups
When a refill stalls on missing information — a prior authorization, an expired script, a payer detail — we track it, draft the chase, and keep it moving until your team can fill.
Status: on hold, prior auth required · Payer: [PLAN]
Action drafted: PA request prepared for pharmacist review · Follow-up scheduled: 48 hrs
Insurance correspondence drafts
Appeal letters, clarification requests, and payer responses — written from your rejection codes and ready for your pharmacist's edits and signature.
PBM underpayment appeals
When a PBM reimburses a generic below what you paid your wholesaler, we match it to your invoice, draft the MAC appeal in that PBM’s format, and track every deadline — so no appeal you’re entitled to gets skipped for lack of time.
PBM paid [$] · Invoice cost [$] · Shortfall [$]
Appeal drafted for staff review · Filing deadline: [DATE] · Outcome: pending
Patient intake follow-ups
New-patient packets with missing pieces — insurance details, transfer information, contact confirmations — get a polite, persistent follow-up trail instead of falling through.
Documentation drafting
Recurring notes, logs, and administrative records turned into clean first drafts your team finalizes — instead of writing from a blank page at 6 PM.
Appointment follow-ups
Immunization bookings, MTM sessions, and sync-program check-ins — reminders and confirmations drafted and queued so the front counter doesn't have to remember.
How we handle information
Latchbeam is administrative-only and built on a simple rule: patient information stays inside your pharmacy's own systems. We work from de-identified task details and reusable templates — your team adds patient specifics on your side, and every draft is reviewed and approved by your staff before it goes anywhere.
No patient data is entered into AI tools. We're happy to sign a confidentiality agreement or BAA with your pharmacy as part of any engagement.
Start small. Keep what works.
No contracts, no software for your staff to learn. Patient information stays in your systems — no patient data is entered into AI tools.

Who's behind Latchbeam
Chiedu Megwalu — Founder
Latchbeam is run by Chiedu Megwalu, founder of Millcreek Strategic Solutions. Before Latchbeam, Chiedu built MyDoseTrack, a medication and supplement scheduling app — so the realities of medication workflows, refill timing, and the administrative load around them are familiar ground.
Latchbeam exists to take that administrative load off independent pharmacy teams, with a human reviewing every piece of work. Local to the Salt Lake area — happy to stop by your counter.

Tell us a little about your pharmacy and where the admin pile is heaviest. We'll follow up within one business day — or call directly at (801) 898-9958.
Prefer paper or a phone call? That works too — most of our conversations start over the counter.
